Elsa Science has contributed to multiple research projects over the years and we continue to engage in a wide array of research initiatives as part of our commitment to science and advancing the rheumatic healthcare system. We are dedicated to democratize science, develop safe and meaningful products and generate convincing evidence to fuel value-based healthcare in rheumatology.
Explore projectsExplore publicationsSPIDeRR aims to disentangle the real-life complexity of early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases by considering the complete web of factors influencing patients’ symptoms. SPIDeRR’s approach will go well beyond the state-of-the-art in the following ways:
An explorative observational study with the purpose of investigating the value of “Rheumatic Care” management system for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis by investigating disease activity, quality of life, patient satisfaction as well as healthcare utilization.
A European project aiming to change care of rheumatic diseases, from current long-term expensive treatment towards prevention, to earlier diagnosis and early curative care.
RealHOPE is a European research project that aims to measure and simulate real-life events during the handling of sensitive protein drugs. The goal is to support a safe and efficient use of these drugs for patients through practical recommendations and education, to ensure careful handling of drugs throughout the whole chain – healthcare, pharmacy staff and patients.
The purpose of this project is to 1) develop a prognosis feature based on clinical data and integrate into a self-care app for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and 2) evaluate the effect of the usage of the self-care app in a prospective randomized clinical trial. Recruitment ongoing.
A project focused on personalized medicine in Rheumatoid Arthritis, aiming to improve the prediction of therapy outcome by combining genomics, biomarkers, clinical- and patient-derived data from the Nordic countries. Research study ongoing.
